Frequently Asked Questions
What does it cost? The cost for each soundtrack is $150.00. If there are multiple tracks requested for a project, a special rate will be provided. Why does it cost so much when I can get a track for 99 cents elsewhere? The companies that sell those backing tracks have a huge library in stock. They can sell the same backing track hundreds, possibly a thousands of times. This is how they can sell their tracks for only a small price. What you are getting is your very own version of a cover song or music to your own compositions, which cannot be heard anywhere else. Can I hear a preview of the music before purchasing? We will send you samples as the track progresses, to make sure that the chording, timing and instruments are OK. Attention to detail is very important to me! Do you record backing vocals? No, I don't record backing vocals. You will need to outsource to someone who does backing vocals and they can add them to your finished track. How do I pay? I accept payment through PayPal. Unless other means of payment have been agreed upon. Payment is made after you are satisfied with the track. How long will I have to wait? Once I have received all needed items, (vocal demo, lyrics or a link to the song) I will begin the track from scratch, the track is usually completed within two weeks. Sometimes this will be a longer or shorter turnaround time depending on the complexity of the work involved. If this is the case you will be notified of an approximate completion time. How will you send me my completed track? After payment is received, the completed soundtracks are sent to you via email as a high quality MP3 file. A physical CD version will also be mailed to you via postal mail, to the address you have provided. Can I sell the backing tracks you created for me? You are not permitted to sell the tracks that we produce of cover songs, they can only be used for personal use or within a live performance. If it is a track that was created of your own composition, you are free to do with the track what ever you want to do. It is your song and your track. Can I use these tracks to record with? You are allowed to use the tracks for recording purposes, once completed and paid for they are yours, however if you are using a track of a cover song (written by someone else, other than yourself) you are required to purchase a mechanical license from the songwriter / publishing company and pay the required royalty fees for the cover song.
